(For closure, please note that I've discovered a great way of accomplishing my goal, which I've documented at http://community.wikidot.com/forum/t-115301/livetemplate-and-page-tags.)

A union of tags specified in the source + tags specified the "usual way" would be GREAT!!

I've not seen any help docs on how to program Wikidot extensions, so am I correct in assuming that a feature such as I am suggesting would have to be accepted by the Wikidot developers in order to be implemented?

Thanks,

jay

See my request for help — http://community.wikidot.com/forum/t-115301/livetemplate-and-page-tags.

Basically, I'd like to include something like this in my content:

[[Tags]] foo, bar, blega [[/Tags]]

When done, the tags would be applied to that page.

Bonus points if the tags specified here would be added onto any tags added with the "tags" link at the bottom of the pages. (Yes, there'd have to be some simplifying assumptions made, such as you cannot get rid of any tag specified within the "[[tags]]" block when using the "tags" link at the bottom of the page, but I'm fine with that!)

Thanks!

jay
