OK… I've found a solution that works great for me. While reading up on how to create a page of "what links to this page" (http://www.wikidot.com/doc:backlinks-module), I found this gem:

You can use the Backlinks module to make soft categories — simply create pages in the namespace category … And within the pages you want to add to specific categories you would put links to these categories …

This, combined with the ability to use the ListPages module, with the "category=" attribute, has completely solved my problems!

FANTASTIC!

Sorry!
There is no "source"-coded way today to assign tags !

You have to do it manually…

A good idea is to "store" the tags in a comment line/area at the page for abckup reason!

( the same with "parenting"…).

Ah…sorry. I don't want to display the tags, I want to assign tags.

There isn't some special command. I would say to do this on the live template page.

[[div style="float:right; width: 200px; border: 1px solid #999; margin: 10px;"]] %%content%% [[/div]] %%tags%%

And then you add the tags through the tags button.

Sorry, you're right, I should have included links…

http://community.wikidot.com/forum/t-74893/tag-syntax-element

http://community.wikidot.com/forum/t-68637/add-tag-editing-to-edit-page-form

As for my site…well, as soon as I can get the content in, it will be open :-) Part of my problem is that some of the content is also what I want to use as tags. Hence, my question, because I hate doing work twice…

I've searched the forums, the howtos, and a few other places. It seems that there was one or two similar requests, but I've not found any solution…perhaps this means there isn't one…yet…

What I'd like to do is in my LiveTemplate include something like:

[[div style="float:right; width: 200px; border: 1px solid #999; margin: 10px;"]] %%content{1}%% [[/div]] [[page-tags]] %%content{2}%% [[/page-tags]]

Where "content{2}" would be defined just like any other portion of the content that gets filled into the LiveTemplate, with the result being that I can enter a new page as:

Whoo hooo, look at me! ========== tag1, tag2, tag3

Is this possible? Thanks for any help and/or pointers…

jay
