MIPSpedia isn't exactly new, but I have been working my butt off to develop a few pages (to define the article style, etc), listings and a few other things. I figured that now would probably be a good time to reveal it to the people here. Forgive me that it is so little, but you are more than welcomed to help. I chose 'MIPS'pedia because of my current obsession with MIPS the rabbit from Super Mario 64, that and I just wanted a name that was different.

Indeed we already have a few wikis, such as The Mario Wiki somewhere on the net, but I was always told that sometimes it is good to have two places for reference rather than just one. My goal is probably what any wiki's goal is, to become a full reference wiki someday in the future. Debian, XFCE, Mercurial, and other howto

Hi,

I've been working on my wiki for 3 weeks and I think it has enough content to talk about it. It's about one of my hobbies : Linux, Debian and anything computer related which may interest my silly mind. I tried to create clean howtos for a lot of stuff (I was reinstalling my main computer after an hard disk crash, so I tested all of them). I really think it could help a lot of Linux newbies and prevent a lot of long google search. almost all the pages are also available in french (the rest is in english).

I intend to keep it growing and hopefully find others people to help me.

My wiki (Translate That Packaging Wiki - TTP wiki) has not been up for long, and I only just set it to "Public" (you still have to be a member to edit), but I think it's a rocking idea and I hope you do too.

Here's the brief:

Foreigners residing in Japan who do not have a high grasp of the language find it difficult to read packaging on many food (and other) products.
- This makes it hard/impossible to follow cooking instructions if there are no pictures
- It's particularly tough for people with special dietary requirements (allergies, no meat, etc.)
The aim is to solve this…or at least help a little!

TTP wiki aims to gather as many translations of common products as possible in one place to act as an easy resource for people experiencing this problem. Obviously the site isn't meant to be a comprehensive list - there are way too many products in circulation for that - but I'm aiming to expand on it as much as possible.

TTP wiki is currently only offered for English-speaking people needing translations of Japanese products, but there is the possibility of opening it up to other languages in the future…if demand calls for it!

As any pen & paper role-playing gamer knows, the real world can be a never-ending source of inspiration for adventures and even entire campaign settings. Foreign countries and cultures, famous individuals, strange religious rituals, historical information… any of those can and have been used for RPGs, and a fertile mind can find all sorts of amazing stuff on the Wikipedia. However, the Wikipedia has a disadvantage: It doesn't allow users to add adventure seeds or other advice how to use the topic of the page for role-playing games.

But the Arcana Wiki does.

Essentially, the Arcana Wiki is intended to be a "Wikipedia, plus footnotes for role-playing gamers". Every entry consists of two sections - the first section consisting of basic, factual information (just like in the Wikipedia), and the second part consisting of all sorts of adventure seeds and other ideas on how to use this material for gaming.

Ambos in WA are behind they're eastern state counterparts clinically, and operationally. They are poorly equipped, allowed to practice few interventions, and have a small toolkit when it comes to drug treatment. The medical director just thinks we should drive faster. Perth isn't Beirut. What do the people of WA think about the fact that if they fell over in other Australian state that they would be provided world class prehospital care, but not in WA? They don't know. Paramedics are forbidden to communicate with the media. Most people watch the Melbourne TV programme 'Medical Emergencies' and believe paramedics in WA are like doctors. As one post says, they're not even like paramedics, let alone doctors.

Hi everyone,
I have identified some needs people here in Vancouver, Canada have on not just connecting through their active lifestyles but also gather information as general as a route maping or as specific as rock falls at km 32
I was just wondering if anyone has had this idea and would like to share structure/ideas with me.

Kuri-RPGS is still partially under-construction. But the more members, the better! I started this site, when my friend and I started to "enjoy" writing. She was more of the writer, and I was more of the editor.

So, each person will have their own personal "journal" which they will write for. Stories will be commented on. And partnerships, groups can also be formed for editing… and like.

We just want to help you improve your stories in all ways we can!

Due to the under-constructionness… we currently ask members to write their stories. They will be able to post up by July! Hopefully, earlier.

Ummm, further expansions will be made. Such as, photography… poetry. BUT, that comes much, much later!!! :P

So, it's just the beginning, but if you're interested in writing- all kinds of genres (preferably/mainly; fantasy, sci-fi…) So, if you have any questions, comments, uncomments, suggestions… pls post them below or PM me!
