So does the Wikidot Team randomly delete sites? I logged into my account I have no emails, alerts, anything, and it shows I have no Wiki Sites …….. What happened?

I would like to automatically redirect mobile phone users who access my standard page to my mobile formatted page. Is it possible to do this?

I tried to make the 301 redirects (what I think may be responsible) work, but no luck. It wouldn't let me make them identical!

I KNOW it's not a propagation issue for aidangrey.com - that's been live for ages now. I don't know why I can't use the "www", or how to fix it. Can anyone help?

It shows up as toan.aidangrey.com in the list of my sites for my account, but when I click on the admin:manage page, it can't find anything. wayofspirits.com doesn't direct to anything either, and says it's not hosted on wikidot.com - which is true, since I was never able to make that change, even though the domain registry redirects to wikidot.com.

It's been about 6 hours now - given that it disappeared, I thought the propagation had happened. Do I just need to wait longer? If the propagation hasn't finished, then why did the site disappear from the old address (toan.aidangrey.com)?

Previously, it would redirect to a PayPal-hosted page where one could confirm that they wanted to donate. At the moment, and despite me never changing the code, it doesn't actually redirect.

Does anyone know why, and/or have a solution?

I detected this when I attempted to add a PayPal subscription button onto another Wikidot site, so it's not just the donate button that is not working.

I've attempted using [[html]] tags, [[iframe]] tags (coupled with a HTML code block) and the older [[embed]] tags — all without any luck. The first two result in the symptoms I described above (loading for a few seconds, but nothing actually happens), whilst the embed tags don't seem to support the PayPal buttons at all.

Let me know if there is a solution to this, or if posting a bug report at feedback.wikidot.com is best thing to do.

James Kanjo's example links only shows an example of a mini-calendar showing multiple months, but not an example of a full calendar, though in his post he mentions it is possible.

I have tried recreating the mini-calendar, thinking I could just edit the table dimensions to create a large one, but I'm not even successful in that area. I have also copied over the inc:year source and the inc:year-backend source, but my table is all screwed up. Could you give me any help with this?

Since the backend page already shows the incorrect table, I figure that's where the problem starts. The rest are just includes. Does it have something to do with me using another theme maybe? I don't know…

(It is true I have just about duplicated my post in that thread as well, but since the last previous post was almost a year ago, it may be a dead end. Hence my second post here.)

EDIT: I just thought of something else too. I know how to display a mini-calendar in the side bar, but is it in any way possible to have it automatically show the current month so I don't have to edit it manually each time? Like %%month%% or something?

EDIT 2: I have just tried putting a normal month calendar in the side bar, and the same thing happens. I create all the necessary inc: pages and the table shows up all screwed…

EDIT 3: There also seems to be some inconsistency in how the side bar is interpreted by the Wikidot engine. When I look at the page itself directly (http://hermansgroep.wikidot.com/nav:side) it somehow shows differently then when it is in the side bar…

This is a petition to be signed by professors and that's why I need their titles and department (e.g. Assistant Professor, Department of Biology).

It's random, some days are great, other days suck. I'd like to see everyday be great. Today for example, I'm working on a new site: http://studio37.wikidot.com/

I made a div for the stylist pages so that I could format the photo with the bio. I did that on-page using the CSS module. But then for some reason, my sidebar settings are ignored. I decide to ignore that to make some additional changes to the top menu. Then I check the page and all is well, including the side-bar, even though I didn't touch that portion of the CSS.

Then, a few minutes later, side bar is all screwed up again. It's like some of the CSS is not loading. Aware of the fact that CSS is read from top to bottom, I put my edited side bar code at the bottom and ignore any previous version of the code. I know it's not clean, but at this point I don't care, I just want to see a black side bar, with white text, and pink links (This is for a salon). Still does not work. Maybe I'm just messing it all all up today?

But wait, now my white text is black, even for the main content. Why did it change? Odd. I use the on page css module to change the text back to white on just one stylist page: http://studio37.wikidot.com/adrienne

It works. Okay, let me put the same exact bit of css in the ACP css section… at the very bottom, so I know it takes precedent, then check any other page… still black text. Why does it work inline, but not in the css document… meanwhile, site is slow as hell. Sometimes I refresh, the CSS does not even load, I get a no CSS look. I refresh again and this time the CSS loads, but the photo does not. I refresh a 3rd time, this time the photo appears, the text does not, and the css loads, but it's still ignoring the end of the CSS… I conclude that the CSS, like other portions of the site is not loading completely, it's random. Now there is something new, when I mouse over my transparent image used in the header for when people click to arrive back at the main page… there is a hover effect… a hover effect that I did not put in. But I recognize the color, it appears to be the default wikidot hover color.

This is mostly a rant, venting here. It's hard to build a site under these conditions. Maybe I've made some mistakes, maybe it's a combination of the two, mistakes, partial loading? I dunno.

I have found a few wikidot sites with some interesting coding and features I like. I highly suspect they got it from somewhere else or did a minor adaptation to make it work. If you could give me any suggestions as to how to code this for my own wikidot sites, I would highly appreciate it:

At the bottom it has the two modules for recent posts and recent threads adjacent to each other. How do you code two modules to run on the page, side by side?

You highlight a picture and you get a bigger picture and you highlight the name and you get more information, clicking on either brings you to another page. I have not witnessed a module like this before.

You see tabs within the page, each with it's own information and tables. I haven't seen such a thing before. How does one do that?

I'd like to be able to add Social buttons to my wiki, including the Facebook Like, Twitter Tweet/Share and Google +1. Similar to this page here:

Ideally it needs to appear within the main content of the page. Either at the top of at the end.

Is this possible to do? I've been having a lot of problems as Facebook Iframe needs the URL to be inserted manually. And the Twitter button I found on here doesn't seem to work because of a Javascript issue.

Any suggestions or working solutions would be much appreciated.

On Firefox and Chrome, you will see that this page shows an article on it with an introductory synopsis of the article. The "synopsis" is really the actual article, but cut off after a certain height.

On Internet Explorer, though (at least from 8 down), the entire article is shown. It is as if IE decided to completely and utterly ignore overflow: hidden. Is there a way to fix this? If IE is going to do this no matter what, then I'm going to need to completely restructure the layout of the site.

This should be a quick one. I've been looking around for over 30 minutes, but I can't find how to get it to work. So I thought I might as well ask here for a quick answer.

How do I exclude certain tags from the tagcloud module?

Let's say I have the tags car and bike and I want to create the tagcloud for it.

What do I add then to the code to exclude the tag bike from it?

I have installed the Calendar application at [http://calendars.wikidot.com] and I searched and was unable to find out if there was a way to make the Mini-Calendar Left align on the page rather than remain centered. Any ideas?
