I'm trying to compile a single, simple resource to show recent updates to our wiki.

I've wrapped about five feeds into a unified pipe (page edits, comments, and new members, as well as new calendar events and flickr images), and it works. The unified feed is sorted chronologically.

But each of the five source feeds ends at some point, and not all on the same date. I can limit the timeframe (7 days of updates, say), which helps. But I think wikidot's site-changes feed is limited to 30 items, and posts are limited to 20. Is there an easy way to extend those limits, so I can be sure to capture an average week's updates? Maybe a variable I could pass in the URL to extend the limit to 100?

Im sitting here fooling around with syntax and, being new to the widget scene, trying to figure otu why one particular 'common' widget doesnt seem to be supported and my alternates for rollover code dont seem to be functioning. Am I jsut missing a key component or is the code Imt rying to use totally unsupported?

Example;

<script src="http://www.wowhead.com/widgets/power.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<a onclick="urchinTracker ('/external/http_www_wowhead_com_item_29388');" class="itemlink q4" style="text-decoration: none; font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29388" target="_blank">[Libram of Repentance]</a>

Crazy WoW users and their little spoiled minds, demanding rollovers for every tiny little thing… Hope I get an answer soon, I'm pulling my hair out.

(Please forgive me if this issue has already been answered somewhere; I did look around the forums and community wiki, but I couldn't find any references to it.)

So, one of my wikis (http://grit.wikidot.com) is having a problems with files; I simply can't view, access, edit or rename any of the files I upload to it. This problem happens across the entire wiki, with multiple files types (I've tried both images and text files with no luck). It happens when I try to display uploaded images on a page, when I try to link to attached files using the [[file]] syntax, and when I try to open attached files via the file manager. In all cases, I get a "not found" message like unto this 'un:

Not Found

The requested URL /files—sites/grit/files/trench-wars/trenchwars.txt was not found on this server.

Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) Server at grit.wikidot.com Port 80

This problem has been happening consistently since I created the wiki a few days ago, so I'm a little lost by this point. It seems the server just forgets about any file I upload to this wiki (my other wikis seem to be working fine). Can anybody tell me why this is happening, or what I can do about it?

Wikipedia is absolutely crawling with lovely little boxes at the tops of pages saying things like "this article is a stub, help wikipedia by blah blah blah" and so on. I believe (though I may be wrong) that these things are called Boilerplates.

I've had a browse around the forums and the community wiki, but I can't find any help section on them. I'd quite like to use them on my wiki, they'd be very useful. So, is it possible to use Boilerplates on Wikidot, or is that a feature we don't yet have? If there's no actual boilerplate feature, is there some sort of workaround that could be used to fill the same role?

Thanks in advance.

For instance, if the wiki is available on both wikidot.com and the domain name, how does setting up a redirect help, and how does setting up more than one help?

I think this page needs more clarification, and I would especially appreciate some help with setting up the use of my domain name.

Heres hoping :)
