I've come up with a work-around to have private pages in a public wiki, I would like to be able to officially release the work-around on the community wiki but I still have a major problem to solve with my work-around:

Nested iframes generate horizontal lines on the page each time the scroll wheel is used. This is too annoying for practical use. If you have a solution for this please share, thanks. :)

More details found here.

My friend wanted a neat looking Google Map on his site and after spending roughly an hour learning how to make it look the way he wanted, I thought I would share with anyone else that might be interested. Here is how it looks (note that it is an interactive map, not an image)…

Sweet huh? Here is the code I used, of course you will want to customize map position and look, but I wanted you to see how little on-page code it requires:

[[iframe http://cmbd.wdfiles.com/local--files/hold/map_no_api.html style="border: 1px solid #464646; border-bottom-width: 20px; border-top-width: 20px; overflow: hidden" width="267" height="425" scrolling="no"]]

For details, I've included a write up in my wiki lab.

Whane The Whip

I basically want the first line to be un-indented, and the later lines to be indented. I found a way to do it using a positive padding-left and a negative text-indent. However, when you split lines into divs like so:

[[div style="padding-left:10px;text-indent:-10px"]] Test 1 [[/div]] [[div style="padding-left:10px;text-indent:-10px"]] Test 2 [[/div]]

You get text like this:

Test 1

Test 2

I want it to look like this:

Test 1
Test 2

Is there any way to get the div elements to act like that, strip out the spacing?

For some reason, absolute positioning is not working correctly for a new theme I'm working on.

My theme includes a custom made header with ovals that I intended to use to position my menu in, top positioning is working fine, but when I absolute position from the left it's not working. I need to absolute position in order to get my menus to fit within the graphical element that I created regardless of window size (the header image is left aligned so therefore the menu must also be left aligned).

The code I'm currently using:

#top-bar { background-color: transparent; /*padding: 2px 100px 2px 30%; */ padding: 0;margin:0; border-bottom: 0px solid #2A343D; color: #E7E9DC; position: absolute; top: 126px; left: 25px; }

It doesnt appear that these two lines are doing anything for me:
/*padding: 2px 100px 2px 30%; */
padding: 0;margin:0;

Any ideas?

Edit: Also, for some reason I have a side-side scroll bar, how do I get rid of that?

I don't have many knowledge about CSS. However I'm trying to change the look of my wiki, using my own theme. I know that a pseudo-class allows you to take into account different conditions or events when defining a property for an HTML tag. So, I use this parameters to change the link's look and behavior :

a:link {color: #??????}
a:visited {color: #??????}
a:hover {color: #??????}
a:active {color: #??????}

However, how can I change the color of links who leads to a non existing page?

Thanks for any help!

I have a wiki that is a single column of 800px, so I want my login-status to be in the top bar, but not have to be in the center for somebody whom has a huge resolution, which makes any 20em or 15% or 35px or something not work. Any thoughts?

Oh, and I apologize if this has been asked before, search has brought me many answers, but this one eludes me. Thanks!

How do I append a link to the end of a list generated by the ListPages module? My code results in a run-on mini list (separate="false") and in order to divide the links so they don't all appear to run into each other, I put a small "·" between each link. The problem is that the last link contains the dot but without a followup link so I want to manually add a link to the end of the list without a line break - how do I do that?

My ListPage code is simple:

[[module ListPages category="for-sale" separate="false" perPage="100" \ order="titleAsc"]] %%linked_title%% · \ [[/module]]

It can be seen in action on my new OC Underground wiki. Note the dots between links, note the dot near the end, I want my manually entered link to appear just to the right of the last dot so it blends in with the rest of the list.

Yes this is very minor, but I want the site to appear as polished as possible. Thanks for reading.

If you understand the List Pages Module, then I could also use some help on this question.

Is there a way to use the list module within a template that uses %%content%% to define a list parameter? I'm working on a site that will include a large directory-like structure and I've created a template using listpages that will list all pages within a specified category and tag. The idea is for me to be able to quickly add a new list page by entering a single word (tag name) that is then filled in using %%content%% within the list module that is entered into a template.

For example, a template might look like:
_template

[[module ListPages category="for-sale" tags="%%content%%" perPage="100" order="dateCreatedDesc"]] **%%linked_title%%** Date: **%%date|%e %b %Y|agohover%%** Author: **%%author%%**, Rating: **%%rating%%**, Comments: **%%comments%%** [[/module]]

Then a new page under the "for-sale" category would consists of just one word, for example: tools.

I tried this as described but it did not work. Any ideas? Have I done something wrong? Or does this simply not work?
