Some months ago, Istorijska biblioteka received an invitation from a Faculty of Phylology (University of Belgrade), to participate as a speaker in a Scientific Program of the 11th Scientific conference Digitalisation of Cultural and Scientific Heritage, University Repositories and Distance Learning. It has been an honor for us to accept this invitation, because it proved if you put real effort and do something good, it cannot pass unnoticed.

It all started as a couple of posts on my Facebook wall and then a few doodles that I uploaded to my main site (FlamePad). I had been tagging each post as OnTheTube and when I found that the .co.uk domain was available; I thought it was just meant to be!

Anyway, I know this is a shameless plug so won't go on about it but please let me know if you have any thoughts or criticisms. Or maybe you're a fellow London commuter and will enjoy the read :D

Ive been looking around for some sort of ability to create an offline wiki on my desktop. Not of an existing wiki, but one that I can use to organize documents and such when I don't have a net connection. I would be Fsjal if there was a means to do this with Wikidot, since i'm most familiar with it's syntax.

When i was looking around I came across a source forge project http://sourceforge.net/projects/anywikidraw/ called Anywikidraw. I'm actually not totally sure how it works or one works it, but from what it looks, you can draw and edit images right in wikis. I was wondering if anyone has heard of it before or used it.

Do you know of any good desktop wikis? :)

I don't know where to post this, so I post it here, if I am mistaken, I am sorry, but I think that this web page webmasters should be contacted and a Wikidot data updated… Maybe there are more data that should be updated, but I wouldn't know, that's why Wikidot developers (or Michal, I don't know) should look into it…

Although Istorijska biblioteka is not an e-book in its literal meaning, this site is a good example of how an Internet Ecyclopedia should look like.

I just wanted to say that today, Istorijska biblioteka celebrates its third anniversary, and that I would like to thank to Wikidot for amazing service it gave to us all these years, with a hope that we shall continue here and together for many, many years more. And also, I would like to thank to all of you who helped me in administrating it, offering your unselfish help, time and knowledge which helped us to be what we are today.

A special thanks to Phil Chett, who introduced me to unknown world of Wikidot and helped me to make my first steps here, to RobElliott, a CSS wizard and the most generous person I have ever met, who is always there when I (and not only I but anyone) need help, and to leiger, who helped us with API and made some great massive changes which otherwise we would have had to do manually as we are not computer experts.

One question: Providing that Serbian language used two alphabets, it is possible to have translation to both of them, and it is relatively easy to obtain it. Recently, I worked on a translation of a Simple Machines Forum interface, and we did it in Cyrillic, and then passed all PHP files through Transliterator and obtained the Latin version. Would this be possible for some future Serbian Wikidot interface?

PS: Where is the forum and recent changes of this Translate Site, so those who participate can communicate among themselves? Every site needs its Gathering point, doesn't it? :)

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with some information.

1 )I am plannin to do my under-graduation in Canada and I am interested in studying to become an aircraft accident investigator in Canada . Is there a degree that I can to do for becoming an Aircraft Accident Investigator ?
If there is no degree for it can you please guide me as to what other undergrad degree I can do which will still keep me within aviation as well as help me in my goal of becoming an AAI.

2)Whats the procedure to become an Aircraft accident investigator in Canada - Courses & further steps involved ?
