I'm wondering whether you allow users to apply siggies (signatures) under every post that they do? Because I'm thinking of starting a forum and I know there are a lot of users who want to use their sigs. So I'm wondering whether your platform allows siggy usage.

breadcrumb navigation has disappeared!

I was messing around with css, added the following to custom theme just to try it:

#breadcrumbs{
position:absolute;top:10px;
}

nothing actually happened. Later, I was working on some pages, suddenly the navigation totally disappeared. None of my pages have navigation anymore. I went back and deleted the css code above, which didn't change anything! I tried a different theme, and the navigation is there.

Is there a delay in restoring my changes to custom theme? how can i get navigation back?

Changing search function?

Forgive me if this is a n00bish question. When I use my wiki's search
function, it brings me up to a list of articles containing the same
words that I have typed. In other wikis when I type something, I am
brought up to a single article with the same title of what I typed, and
only taken to a list if such an article doesn't exist. Take the original
wikipedia for example.

Now the list thing is fine and dandy, but I personally prefer that the
search function takes me to an article with the exact words as a title I typed. Like
if I typed in Yoshi's Island, I would expect to be taken to an article with
Yoshi's Island as the title instead of a list. (Yes I have made an article with
that very title before.)

Also, I've been making several disambiguation pages… and I guess that
wouldn't look right when the search brings up a list instead. I was just
wondering if there was a way to change that. Probably not, I'm just more used
to using other wikis than Wikidot. It would be nice if I could.

Hello, I am the creator of the award winning opensource A.I. chat bot A.L.I.C.E..

I am experimenting with a wiki for sharing our free software AIML "brain" files:
alicebot.

I've found two problems so far:

1. Some of our files exceed the 200K file size limit.
We have AIML text files up to 2MB.

2. Our files are in XML format, and contain comments.
When I paste the "" and then paste in back again,
it comes back as "< comment >".
Is there any way to preserve XML comments in wikidot pages?

Let's see.. How do I explain this…

A member of mine started discussion on the discussion page of the page forum:thread. Now, this is NOT the right page for discussion (I checked in this forum, and the page forum:thread in this site does not even have the possibility to start discussion!), so I would like to remove this conversation to forum and to remove it from discussion page of the forum:thread page, but I don't know how…. Is there a way to do it or I should delete the discussion page? And how do I do it, since I tried to delete it, but the system warned me that I will delete the page itself, so I didn't continue with delition… Anyway, how one can move or delete discussion page of any page in a site?

I have just been asked by GRITS (Georgia Rails into Trails Society) to help update their website. I have been asked to help in this regard because recently I was just fooling round and I made a video blog of their Cedartown to Rockmart Silver Comet Trail Heads bicycle run and…well, they liked what they saw.

So I have just opened up this Wiki site and would like to make a proposal to use this site.

However, I would first like to ask anybody here if they have any suggestions before I actually start creating a wiki-website how I can adopt this site to the Google blogspot site. I am not charging anything for my efforts, but I do see a possibility down the road where revenue could be generated and a professtional web-master could be hired to maintain the website..

Recently some of my friends told me that photos put on the left side are superimposed over the text. I checked it and I saw nothing wrong, then I checked in IE (I use Mozilla), and indeed, there is a difference, but not in superimposing the text, but in a blue line that appears around the photo in IE, and it does not exist in Mozilla. Since my friends insisted in superimposition of the text and the left-placed photo, I asked them to send me the screen print, which they did. Now, Here are the photos of this page:

As I see it in Mozilla click
As I see it in IE click
As my friend sees it in IE click

I know tha this doesn't have to do anything with wikidot syntax, but… I am curious why is that? And where did this blue line in IE come from?

I'm Mark Gedak and I'm running the Grandwiki.wikidot.com and a locked developmental wiki. Some of my members have asked these questions and I can't seem to find answers to them. Can you help me?

How do I put a page in multiple categories?
How do I tag pages via markup?
How do I edit the site CSS (I found a page on the structure, just no info on where to put the updated CSS)?
Can I preview themes I create?
Where is the API documentation for creating pages from a script?
How can I change the "new page" button so it actually uses an existing template?

I'm new so may have missed some glaringly obvious sign in flashing lights somewhere about this, but where can I browse through a list of current wikidot wikis? I'd like to peruse what's on offer, but can't seem to spot anywhere they are listed!

no doubt i'm just being stupid but i'd appreciate the help!

oh, and i posted this elsewhere but may as well add it here too:

Can you bypass a category live template if you want a category page in a different style to it (e.g. for a category front page)

How do I change the side and top bar?

In the side bar, I clicked the link ''edit this panel'', but I couldn't change at all.

In the top bar, I could change the content of the pages, but not their names that appears in the bar.
