Incorrect.! :-)) it IS a matter of position. the ads wont display on your page because the page lenght is to short. This is not a wikidot problem,(its done like this for a reason) or an adsence problem.
So put them elsewhere :-))))

ads are only displayed on pages which are not too short. Displaying them on short pages would be not effective (and would lower the $$ per click factor).

I realize only now that this is a little problem for me; the reason is that my new wiki (http://shortpedia.wikidot.com/) is based on shortness!
Every page is written with about 306 characters so the ads are not displayed!
Is there any way to change adsense's settings? (maybe only I can have a good number of visitors/contributors?)

Leave out the "click my ads" part, and just having people visit 5 sites listed in exchange for listing their own wouldn't be against any rules. You should ask them to list the sites they go though. Keep it honor system but make it less convenient to leech.

I don't think we have the option of impressions based google ads, Im' not even sure those exist. The only thing this would affect is how lonely we feel when we check our google analytics reports. =)

Say a red advertisement box on a white background, would be rather bad, as it would guarentee your viewers see the ads, but would dissatisfy the viewers, as their eyes are constantly dragged to the ads, rather than the content they came for.

I'll create a page in my blog category every 15 or so posts that contains the custom adsense module for display. It won't break in the middle of the page all the time, but it should work to break up the posts a little.

I would still like to see a formal break function someday though.

• it doesn't look nice and
• you would have to play with perPage="…" and limit="…" to get all pages of a category displayed,
