Hello All,
Beautiful house is of no use until there are nice and suitable furniture. Here I would like to throw some light on furniture care tips. There are a variety of products developed especially for furniture care. Such as Polishes, waxes, oil treatments, stains and preservatives are formulated to provide furniture protection from the elements and regular use. Varieties of other products are also available in market for furniture cleaning, like:

1. Furniture Waxes: Furniture waxes afford the longest lasting protection for furniture and are available as a paste or liquid.
2. Orange Oil: It can be used on any finish and does a superb job of removing everyday dirt and dust.
3. Lemon Oil: is recommended for heavier routine cleaning and dusting. It contains mineral spirits for strong dirt and grime removal.

You even visit my site: Gogo Furniture for more details on unique furniture care tips. I would welcome suggestions and feedbacks from one and all.

@phil chett: ok, but it's not a matter of position: it is a problem about pages lenght…

Incorrect.! :-)) it IS a matter of position. the ads wont display on your page because the page lenght is to short. This is not a wikidot problem,(its done like this for a reason) or an adsence problem.
So put them elsewhere :-))))

A couple of quick questions:
1) You have set up account at Google for adsense and have gotten all of the validation emails - this I assume is a yes
2) Did you go into Site Manager and under option Monitize and then follow the Adsense link to AdSense control panel?

See the screen shots at

http://firefrog.wikidot.com/sandbox

As Gabrys said here:

ads are only displayed on pages which are not too short. Displaying them on short pages would be not effective (and would lower the $$ per click factor).

I realize only now that this is a little problem for me; the reason is that my new wiki (http://shortpedia.wikidot.com/) is based on shortness!
Every page is written with about 306 characters so the ads are not displayed!
Is there any way to change adsense's settings? (maybe only I can have a good number of visitors/contributors?)

So after around 5000 views, I hadn't had any clicks on my adsense yet. But today I got linked to by Engadget, and pretty much got more traffic in the past couple of hours as in the entire life of my blog, and some of them clicked ads!

I am so happy, I do the dance of joy.

/hysteria

Thanks for listening.

I agree with fortunzfavor removing the reference to clicking the ads changes the spirit of the request to a more positive way. And I like the idea of finding out about more wiki sites in a different forum. But the way you currently have it structured appears to be only a ploy to drive ad traffic dispute if it was intended or not.

I started out trying to blend my ads completely into the site. I thought it looked nicer that way, more consistent. But despite decent amount of traffic (3000+ views), I got 0 clicks. So I'm starting to experiment with mild contrasts.

The Goal of this site is to help users generate higher traffic with a simple concept.
You submit your website URL into the forum which is then viewed by other members

Once you submit your URL, you must agree to view at least 5 other website URL's listed in the forum. The more sites you visit, the higher traffic level you will have!
It's that simple!**

Leave out the "click my ads" part, and just having people visit 5 sites listed in exchange for listing their own wouldn't be against any rules. You should ask them to list the sites they go though. Keep it honor system but make it less convenient to leech.

I don't think we have the option of impressions based google ads, Im' not even sure those exist. The only thing this would affect is how lonely we feel when we check our google analytics reports. =)

Yes… along with having your ads stick out, though, you do wish to make sure your members don't feel money is the reason the wiki exists. Like your art wiki holds, white on Co, is actually quite the perfect combo, the reason being, your ads do stick out a bit, but at the same time, the ads don't stick out like a sore thumb, which would make your viewers think you're trying to advertise rather than promote your own site.

Say a red advertisement box on a white background, would be rather bad, as it would guarentee your viewers see the ads, but would dissatisfy the viewers, as their eyes are constantly dragged to the ads, rather than the content they came for.

Nice thread.

The looks are kind of a problem for me on that mark. But you did get me thinking of another solution.

I'll create a page in my blog category every 15 or so posts that contains the custom adsense module for display. It won't break in the middle of the page all the time, but it should work to break up the posts a little.

I would still like to see a formal break function someday though.

Thanks socks and Erich.
