I suppose mine couldn't stay in the 'latest featured' spot forever :) From what I can tell, he's used em's or pixels to control the width of his tabs. If he'd used a % value I wouldn't be having the problem I seem to be experiencing — everything is pushed down below the sidebar because it's too wide to fit alongside it.
