Description
When I use a div to enclose a large section of my page (for style formatting), the edit-section function no longer recognises headings within it and claims that there are no sections to edit.

Surely this is a bug? I had foreseen using div sections extensively for different templates, but I don't want to have to go through each document adding a div in each section just so that wikidot can recognise headings properly.
How to Reproduce
I have a document structured like this:
[[div class="whatever"]]
Heading
Text
Heading
Text
Heading
Text
[[/div]]
And then press edit-sections, I get a pop-up window saying this:
There are no isolated sections to edit.

Workaround would be
in section-N wiki-pages you can use headings and the "edit section" option.
Hope this helps till we get rid of this.

Hey, this is probably the only working workaround, and this isn't going to work as you would like.
Edit section work for document section and not for some in-div sections, so this won't be 'fixed'.

Hello. I tried to fix the headings and div problems on the following page: http://www.wikiwealth.com/research:3m-co-nyse:mmm; however, I still can't get the edit-sections to work.
I would like visitors to add information to the description tab area, because a full page edit would show all my code and potentially discourage users from editing. Can anyone take a quick look around to see what else I need to fix?
Thanks again,
Dave

i wont use tabs in places where i want others to edit, if i can avoid it.
if i must, then i provide a edit icon on the page and include that page in the tab.
( i tend to do that with any included page )
i had a quick look….
i would suggest your languages box is badly positioned. it covers up the buttons in edit mode.
your bookmark button is below your home button, so when you move your mouse to home the bookmark expands. slightly annoying :-)
and finally…
when i first read the 3m page i thought it was one of those spam sites that just rattle of random words to fill white space :-)))

Yeah, nice solution is including page called "something", and then having a link [http://some.wikidot.com/something/edit/true edit this]
This works nicely and user only edits the included page.

I'm working with Squark to clean up the site (at least the annoying bits).
Thanks for the include/link solution. It works perfectly. Dave
