Sorry guys, I don't like this ugly tagcloud included in this left bar.
Moreover, the collapsed "Internals" menu appears at the very bottom of this left bar.
Not very userfriendly, my dears.

This is correct , not very userfriendly now…
I do not see any sense in usage of a limit = 75 or 100 and a lot of tags are hidden than.
I would like to cut out the tag cloud from the left bar menu and put it - elsewhere-
I have no idea where ad how…
perhaps we should build a own "search" page ?
containing the embedded Search-window from gerdami
and the big Tag cloud?
This customised search engine currently searches 5 sites:
Service is my success. My webtips:www.blender.org (Open source), Wikidot-Handbook.

I iserted an EXTRA Search Center Page Search with the Engine + Tags Cloud …
Hope this is better?

Should be "exchange" the pages ?

how does everyone feel about moving embed requests, wishlist and bug reports out of the Internals collapsible, and putting them in their own Improve Wikidot collapsible?
Was a good idea to collect these issue!
Now we have the problem, tah only member of the site can edit such pages ( with teh exceptioon of "Embed" I believe…
And: where to place the link of this "Improve Wikidot" -Center" ?

I was thinking just place a second 'Improve wikidot' collapsible div under the present "Internals" div that appears at the bottom of the sidebar.
I went ahead and did it just now. I like having them separate myself, but it's no biggie if someone would prefer to revert to the last design.
It's probably for the best that the bugs page remain members only, people can still post bugs to the forums. It's technical enough that it will better organized, easier to sort through and less cluttered that way. People can still post feature requests in the appropriate forum, and that's linked from the Wishlist page, so it should be easy enough to find.
I saved ( copied) the OLD start page under the name start-old ( not to cget in conflict with too much history.
and copied the new start2 page to "start".
and changed it in the site manager as the start page.
This prevents us from changing all parenting relations to the new start2 page.
remember: the "old" version is now stored under "start-old"
I inserted these links into the Internal folder in the left menu…

Hey,
Tag cloud's height cannot be greater than its width. It looks just bad. Limit the tag cloud to 20-30 please.
Thanks!

Hey Gabrys.
You are able to do it yourself :-) thanks :-)
whilst your there, you can change the start and side bar as to EXACTLY as YOU want :-) I personally am not worried about it as i never use :-)
Hi Gabrys!
Do you say,
the tagcloud on the Search Center does not show all entries, because the width is smaller than the height?
Have I really to count the entries now ? :)

All good stuff but for now (19 July) buried inside "Internals" and "Improve Wikidot" could find a better location in a nav:top menu.
Moreover, this community website is supposed to be the repository of tips and tricks for Wikidot lovers and for now this feature is disabled while we have so many inquiries on how populate nav:top sample menu.

OK, Ok,oK, ok , :: , ..
I moved most of the Internals and the Improve Wikidot Part to the Top bar menu..
I think now over the last point - how to show the "top bar" Menu & page for newbees on a direct way… ( perhaps opn the doc & help section… ?

Maybe we should put it on both bars since nav:top doesn't show in the forums. And most of the time people spend on the community site is on the forums.
Thansk David!
I mention this the first time!
I have to check the forum:category why we have no Top bar menu….

I checked the forum:category to use BOTH nav:elemets now ( by using the "_default" setup…)
Sorry, I never dedected this issue!… I think I have overred all messages about the theme.
Could be there was a reason to hide the top bar for the forum category?

That works too. Thanks.
I recently was on a different computer using IE6 (@ 1152x864 resolution) to view the new start page, and noticed that the entire contents of the page are pushed down below the left sidebar. this should be looked into.
Yeah, I see it too. I tried it on IE7 @ 1024x768. I think it can be remedied if the first table tag is set as
Can't try it, though. It's locked, for moderators only.
Sorry, this does not help!
Even I put in EVERY table the width: 95 %, nothing helps in lower resolutions
This is more a question for Squark and the combination of CSS-style and content …

We're back to this.
If the sidebar acted more like a cell in a table layout, I don't think this would happen.
I think the empty space is all about the sidebar's relative/float position. The only way I could resolve it was to set the container to a fixed width, and to make sure that nothing in page-content is wider than container minus sidebar.
